Selank is a short peptide made from tuftsin, a peptide the immune system makes, with a few amino acids added to make it last longer. In Russia it is sold as nasal drops for anxiety and stress.
All its studies in people used the drops. None tested an injection, or compared it with a placebo.

What the research shows.
Selank is a short peptide sold in Russia as nasal drops for anxiety and stress. All its studies in people used the drops, and none tested an injection or compared it with a placebo. In 62 people with anxiety or nervous exhaustion, Selank eased anxiety about as much as medazepam, a sedative of the benzodiazepine family.
